A few years ago, I decided to try and attend some of the many OU games I usually was watching on TV each year. I’ve done it a few times now. They played UCLA a few years ago in Norman, then I went again when they were back in LA. That was the Jalen Hurts era.
As anyone who knows me knows… I may be slightly obsessed with Baker Mayfield. That probably brought on the increasing desire to attend games. In any case, I’ve made it to one or two games a year since about 2016.
This year, I decided to invite my friend Kirk to the BYU game in Provo. Kirk went to BYU, and this was apparently his first time back at a game since then. He’s a great friend, and we don’t spend a ton of time together these days. He’s got young kids and moved to Orange County. I also invited my cousins, one is a retired OU prof and the other went to school there. So, we had quite the crew.
Anyway, OU won. It may not be playoff bound any longer, and seems to be pretty inconsistent. BYU put up a good fight, but we won. Anyway, here’s some pics.
