Day three, we chose to do a bit of a lesser hike. Many of the boys were a bit worn out from the day before. So, we chose to do the Mirror Lake hike. This time of year, the Mirror Lake is barely more than a thick stream. But, in May or June, the Mirror Lake can be quite large. The hike is a circuit around the entire lake, passing over a bridge at the far end. The total milage is about 6 miles and the elevation gain is minimal. It starts very near the tents at Curry Village, where we stayed. Some highlights below.

Then, one of the boys and I ended the day with a drive up to Glacier Point since I had never been. It is truly an epic view of the valley from up there.
